Pre-surgical evaluation: Volunteers contact surgical patients by phone to conduct their pre-surgical evaluation prior to their surgery. They also help with chart prep and clerical support. 

Surgical registration and waiting room: Volunteers welcome patients and families to the surgical reception areas and provide information about waiting room processes. They also escort patients and visitors to the surgical bays as instructed by associates and assist with other non-clinical needs. 

Surgical materials and sterile processing: Volunteers inspect, package, and store supplies for surgical associates.

Spiritual Care Volunteer: Volunteers serve as an extension of the Spiritual Care Department, visiting patients and their families to determine how the department can support them during their stay.

No One Dies Alone Compassionate Companion: Volunteers provide a reassuring presence to dying patients who would otherwise have no one with them at the end of their lives.
