Frequently asked questions.
For us to bill your insurance company, you must have an order from your physician to receive treatment from Health First Physical Therapy. We do offer self pay fees if you choose to waive your insurance benefits. Please contact us for more information.
Once a physician has referred you for physical or occupational therapy, you will be scheduled for an evaluation.
On your first visit, your therapist will ask you to move in certain ways or ask you questions about your abilities and challenges.
This evaluation will determine what issues you are having that can be addressed through therapy. A treatment program will be developed to help you feel better and reach the goals you set with your doctor and therapist.
We work together with your doctor. Please tell your therapist when you are scheduled for your next visit with your physician and we will provide them with an update on your progress.
It's a good idea to wear loose, comfortable clothing to physical therapy. You can bring clothing with you and change before therapy if you need.
